About GTHR

We started with coffee.
But it was always about connection.

Meet The Founders

Meet Makayla

She loves a good question, a good class, and a reason to gather.

Makayla has worked in health and wellness for more than a decade. She started in university wellness and later became Director of Wellness Services at Wellable, where she helped companies plan wellness programs their people would actually want to join.

She is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and certified yoga teacher. Yoga is also where she first learned about the Four Original Rituals: Song, Dance, Story, and Silence. The idea stayed with her because the practices are simple, familiar, and deeply human.

While traveling, cacao ceremonies showed her how different an everyday drink can feel when people give it time and attention. GTHR lets her bring those pieces together: yoga, wellness, coffee, and the joy of helping people feel comfortable enough to be themselves.

Meet Briana

She believes the best part often happens after the plan ends.

Briana has always found connection through movement. She grew up playing sports and went on to play collegiate volleyball, so caring for the body has long been part of how she understands wellness.

Her work has moved between hospitality management and corporate wellness, most recently as a Customer Success Manager at Wellable. She is also a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and certified yoga teacher.

Coffee has a long history in her life, from mornings with her mom to working as a barista. Then she spent two years living in Spain, where sobremesa taught her to stay at the table after the meal and enjoy the conversation. GTHR brings all of that together: warm hospitality, movement, good coffee, and no rush to leave.

When we worked together in corporate wellness, coffee was part of our routine. One of us would bring a cup for the other, or we would walk to the office with coffee in hand. It was a small thing that gave us time to catch up, slow down, and start the day together.

We began noticing that many of our favorite moments felt the same: coffee with a friend, moving our bodies, lingering after dinner, listening to music, and trading stories. Nothing elaborate—just good reasons to be together.

We started GTHR to make more room for those moments. Today, we pair our coffee cart with movement, creative workshops, and community gatherings inspired by the things we genuinely love.
